Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) — Hadith

Sahih Bukhari

“The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, ‘The best of you are those who are best to their wives.’” (Sahih Bukhari 62:128)

“Narrated ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, ‘O ‘Abdullah! Have I not been informed that you fast all day and stand in prayer all night?’ I said, ‘Yes, O Allah’s Apostle!’ He said, ‘Do not do that! Observe the fast sometimes and also leave it; stand up for the prayer at night and also sleep. Your body has a right over you, your eyes have a right over you, and your wife has a right over you.’” (Sahih Bukhari 7:127)

Sahih Muslim

“Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) as saying: ‘The believers who show the most perfect Faith are those who have the best behaviour, and the best of you are those who are the best to their wives.’” (Sahih Muslim 1468)

“The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, ‘When a man marries, he has fulfilled half of his religion, so let him fear Allah regarding the remaining half.’” (Sahih Muslim 8:3469)

Jami` at-Tirmidhi

“Narrated ‘Aishah: Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said: ‘The best of you is the best to his family, and I am the best among you to my family.’” (Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3895)

“Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: ‘A believer must not hate (his wife) believing woman. If he dislikes one of her characteristics, he will be pleased with another.’” (Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1160)
